Severe dental anxiety is common, and it is the reason many patients go years without care. We offer nitrous oxide for most patients and arrange oral sedation for more complex visits.

We also treat anxious patients without medication — simply by pacing the appointment, letting you control the rhythm, and being honest about what you will feel.

  • Nitrous makes you relaxed and floaty but fully awake. Oral sedation makes most patients drowsy; some remember little of the appointment. IV sedation we refer to sedation specialists.
